Established in 1994, Expoconser, Lda is a family-owned company resulting from the restructuring of two other companies with a long tradition in the sector – also property of the family - dating back to 1942. Since then, the quality of the products exported has provided the basis for a vast network of customers and its private brands “MINERVA”, “TABY” and “ALVA”, are sought after by many of the world’s largest and most demanding markets.

Following its policy of providing increasing customer satisfaction, as well as responding to the ever increasing demand for its products in new markets, EXPOCONSER purchases FÁBRICA DE CONSERVAS “A POVEIRA”, LDA, at the end of 2003. This is one of the oldest canned fish industries in Portugal, dating back to 1938, owner of the brands “POVEIRA” and “D’HENRY IV” and is located in Póvoa de Varzim, just 200 metres far from the fish market, which guarantees a constant supply of fresh fish.

EXPOCONSER’s policy is to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, and to continue producing goods of the highest quality, using traditional production methods that confer the products the best taste, thus building on the prestige they have earned over for so many years.

We have HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and Kosher Certification, and we are registered in the FDA (Food & Drug Administration).
